Peak inside Brentwood’s next best shared office (or coworking) location.
7:30AM: That sweet spot between sleeping in and “I have plenty of time.”
Good thing the office has parking and Brentwood isn’t too far. You love an office day in May because it’s that perfect temp for melding “business” up top, “causal” on the bottom. Like a power fit disguised as comfort. Let’s head in.
8:30AM: Get a walking-snack, then hit the office.
With a taco from Taco Cabana in hand (you skip the drink and save money because Industrious serves bottomless coffee), you approach HQ for the day. 5209 Burnet Road. This shared office space in Austin has a quiet charm. Industrious Victory Plaza used to be Miguel’s pottery shop, and the building tips its hat to its predecessor with the original hand-carved wooden doors from Miguel’s hanging in the lobby. Like a museum or fun Easter Egg. And when you step off the elevator? A tile mosaic, designed by the original tenants. It’s a thoughtful, pretty, daily ‘wink’ to condition work-mode with.
9:00AM: Let’s get into the rhythm.
You know you got a coffee from a local favorite on the way in, but the Member Experience Managers (MxMs) at Industrious are always brewing something hot, also local, and en masse daily. So we’ll have another before bopping into the breakfast line. Waffle bar. You readied your body for this.
Natural light pours in through generous windows. Big ones, the kind you don’t even realize you’ve missed on those WFH days. You find your usual perch in the coworking lounge. “I swear, I need to ask their design team where they shop their couches.” Or maybe today is a private-office day. Private offices and meeting rooms are bookable in the portal—good to know. Either way, it’s nice to be in a buzzy, hybrid coworking space where you can have social time when you want, and heads-down time when you don’t.
All in all, deadlines feel less aggressive when you’re working in a gorgeous environment. You chat up the MxM and the MxAs a bit anyway. They asked about your foster cat. Then it’s time to work.
12:30PM: Rooftop reset for real
Lunch? Maybe you brought it (we’re all trying), or maybe the plaza downstairs is calling. Food trucks, people-watching, sunshine. You grab a seat on the rooftop terrace for a minute. There are two rooftop terraces, actually, which feels unnecessarily luxurious in the best way. But Industrious just rolls like that.
Some days, there’s even an energizing yoga session hosted by local wellness partner Swift Fit Events—Austin-born and always outdoors when the weather’s right. Yes, a little downward dog in the sunshine counts as productivity.
Let’s eat and scroll and socialize on the plaza. Afterwards, you booked a meeting room for a K.O. on [insert that thing]. Out-of-town coworkers are coming through, and you’re thrilled to show them around, so utilizing your monthly bank of free meeting room hours feels like the perfect play! Industrious is your workplace, after all. The meeting rooms are huge, the light is ample, and the MxM is putting a tray of snacks together to greet them with: (work-)life (balance) is good. Just wait until they see the rooftop pickleball courts.
2:00PM: Charcuterie; you can set your watch by it.
If it’s meat and cheese. If it’s mezze. If it’s a chips-and-dip bar or a myriad other snacks, you organize your afternoon around Industrious’ daily 2:00pm snack time. A bottomless coffee run and a social lift all in one. And you’ve gotten into a weekly ritual of piling on Manchego and drifting towards some suite-mates.
The private office suites at Victory Plaza are a gem. Fully furnished, beautifully lit, and perfect for 2 to 20 members. You post up at your desk for a mid-day snack detour. Per usual a spontaneous brainstorm occurs, or a “one-minute” check-in, or a debrief on which food trucks are crushing it.
It’s not just a place to work. These private office suites at Industrious are like mini ecosystems—professionally designed, move-in ready, and customizable enough to make it feel like your own. But they also lend themselves to connection. And in your case, a desktop succulent situation (because they’re the easiest to keep alive).
5:15PM: Clock out, walk out, early dinner
One perk of coworking in North Central Austin? You’re already in Brentwood. You’re already near the good stuff. That means Fonda San Miguel for arguably the most anticipatory calendar invite you’ve had on your phone all month. You slide into a booth at Texas’ oldest interior Mexican restaurant. Velvet furniture. Good art. You order the duck enchiladas because you always do, and a mezcal cocktail that makes you do that “Ohmygodthatsnice!” face. At the tailend of the dinner—somewhere between a circle-back on today’s presentation, and an argument over Chi’Lantro vs. Lala’s Little Nugget for best Friday hangout (if you’re down with XMas all year round)—you say “yes” to Chicken Sh*t Bingo and gather your bag.
“I should probably play pickleball tomorrow to sweat some of the mezcal,” you think. A game oughta blend right in with tomorrow’s iCal worth of Kick-Offs and an All-Hands. You know Industrious was designed like that: to meld productivity, community, and me-time into one.
